The Modern Slavery Bill has passed its first reading in Parliament with support from 5 out of 6 parties. The bill requires companies earning above $100m to disclose modern slavery risks. Latest NZ ETS advice released

The Climate Change Commission (CCC) has released its annual advice on NZ ETS auction settings. The Commission recommends keeping auction volumes and price controls the same for now to limit the risk of further price instability and support confidence in the NZ ETS. DB Breweries celebrates sustainability progress

Highlights from DB Breweries latest update on progress against its sustainability goals include a 67% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to a 2018 baseline, improved water efficiency, saving 140 million litres and a $2.5m investment in responsible consumption, moderation campaigns and more. Merdian Energy’s Ruakākā solar farm takes shape in Northland

In this new video, Meridian Energy gives a behind the scenes look at the work underway on the Ruakākā Solar Farm in Northland. The 130MW project near Whangārei will generate up to 230GWh of electricity per year and will be built next to Meridian Energy’s 200MWh battery, capable of storing energy for times when it is needed most, overall contributing to a resilient electricity system.
