Contact Energy installs final panel at Kōwhai Park solar farm

Contact Energy has marked the installation of the final panel at Kōwhai Park, a milestone for large-scale renewable generation. Developed alongside Christchurch International Airport, the solar farm, comprises around 300,000 panels across the 230-hectare site and once operational, will generate enough renewable electricity to power around 36,000 homes each year. 

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, in partnership with Sunergise, has switched on Aotearoa NZ’s largest rooftop solar installation at its East Tāmaki campus. The 5.3-megawatt system spans approx. 70,000 square meters and is expected to generate more than 6,500 MWh of clean energy per year. Read more.

Low Emissions Freight Certificate (LEFC) update

We’re pleased to share a key milestone has been reached in the development of the Low Emissions Freight Certificate (LEFC), with 123Carbon confirmed as the registry provider. Downer reaches milestone for Wellington's water infrastructure

In a major milestone for Wellington’s water infrastructure, Downer has supported with the delivery of the Porirua Central Wastewater Storage Facility. Developed alongside Wellington Water and Porirua City Council, the facility features a 7 million litre storage tank and will reduce overflow during heavy rainfall, protecting streams and Te Awarua o Porirua, Porirua Harbour.
